Our Story

Ixtreme® was founded in 2009 by a family with a simple mission: to make warm, durable and stylish outerwear that any parent could confidently buy for their child, without breaking the bank.

As parents ourselves, we understand the importance of bundling up our little ones against cold weather and wet conditions. We also know how quickly children outgrow their clothing, making cost a major factor in every purchase decision. Most of all, we recognize the pride parents feel in providing the best for their kids – the joy of seeing them light up in a favorite printed snowsuit or puffer jacket.

With these beliefs in mind, we launched Ixtreme® directly into the family market, focused entirely on creating children’s outerwear that over-delivers on quality, while maintaining reasonable prices. Our goal was to give parents peace of mind that their child would be cozy and protected, even during active outdoor play.

The response from families was immediate – they loved the warmth, comfort and vibrant colors of our kids coats and snowsuits. They appreciated the smart design features tailored specifically to children’s needs. And they were thrilled to find winter essentials built to withstand rugged use, at costs that made sense for growing kids.

Spurred by this positive reaction, we expanded our offerings to include jackets, shirts, pants and accessories for boys, girls, infants and toddlers. We crafted innovative new technologies into our fabrications, like moisture-wicking activewear and UPF 50 protective swimwear. And we collaborated directly with customers to add user-suggested enhancements to our products.

Kids Outerwear

Our children’s outerwear line includes versatile styles like:

• Puffer jackets: Cozy, packable puffers with protective hoods to shield little faces from wind and chill. Choose from solid colors, color-blocking, or bold prints featuring favorite characters.
• Fleece jackets: Soft and plush fleece-lined zip jackets provide lightweight warmth for fall and spring outings. Many styles include fold-over mitten cuffs to keep tiny hands toasty.
• Rain coats: Lightweight windbreakers and raincoats with durable water-repellency (DWR)provide all-weather protection. Reflective details and bright colors improve visibility.
• Snowsuits: Our signature snowsuits combine insulating jackets with full-coverage bib snow pants, often in coordinating looks. ThermaTechTM insulation retains warmth, while waterproof fabrics block snow and moisture.
• Rash guards: Quick-drying UPF 50 swim shirts protect tender skin from sun exposure, while allowing unrestricted movement for swimming and watersports.

From newborns to big kids, we design our kids outerwear for full daytime play, with features like machine washable fabrics, adjustable cuffs and hems, and roomy sizing for easy layering over bulky garments.

Boys & Girls Activewear

Ixtreme® provides head-to-toe activewear essentials to keep kids looking and feeling their best, both in and out of school. Our boys’ and girls’ lines include:

• Athletic and performance shirts: Moisture-wicking tees and shirts made from quick-drying fabrics keep students cool, dry and focused in the classroom. Breathable designs allow free movement during recess sports and gym.
• Fleece sweatshirts and joggers: Soft fleece hoodies, pants and shorts bring laidback style perfect for weekend play. Coordinating pieces allow kids to build their own comfy looks.
• Compression baselayers: Lightweight underlayers worn beneath uniforms or everyday attire provide an extra layer of insulation during cooler weather.

All of our kids activewear incorporates stretch for ease of movement, with flatlock seams to prevent chafing and irritation during all-day wear. Vibrant colors and prints keep our boys’ and girls’ apparel looking fresh and fun.

Infant & Toddler Essentials

We understand selecting baby clothing that keeps pace with rapid growth and messy play. Our infant and toddler collections include:

• Footed sleep’n plays: Our fan-favorite kangaroo footie pajamas are made of cozy fleece to take little ones comfortably from crib to playroom. Fun prints with zip fronts, fold-over cuffs and non-slip soles make these perfect for active babies on the move.
• Babies’ & toddlers’ snowsuits: Our warm snowsuits with full coverage and non-slip feet are ideally sized for babies’ shorter strides and active crawling. Many styles conveniently convert into stroller gear with fold-over mitts and booties.
• Infant buntings: For tiny babies, our infant buntings provide head-to-toe protection from cold and wet. Sleep sack designs allow car seat and stroller access without removing – just fold back flaps. Soft inner cuffs gently prevent scratching.

All of our infant and toddler pieces are designed for safety and convenience. Items are machine washable, with snaps and zippers tested lead-free. Fabrics meet or exceed flammability standards for children’s sleepwear.

Adult Outerwear & Activewear

To address needs for the whole family, we now design select outerwear and activewear styles for men and women, including:

• Adult parkas & rain jackets: Weatherproof shells lined with fleece, down or ThermaTechTM insulation. Technical details like adjustable hoods, cinched hems and wrist gaiters seal out cold, rain and wind.
• Performance athleticwear: Moisture-wicking adult shirts, pants and shorts made of smart fabrics that actively pull sweat away from skin during workouts and outdoor activities.
• Fleece loungewear: Ultra-soft adult sweatshirts, joggers and tees provide casual comfort at home and on the go. Matching men’s and women’s pieces allow couples to coordinate their weekend relaxation outfits.

Our extended sizing includes standard women’s and men’s sizes, from XS-3XL. We pre-wash all adult apparel minimally to retain the quality and longevity of performance fabrics.

Our Design & Sourcing Process

Every Ixtreme® product begins with careful consideration of real families’ needs and preferences. Our design team actively collects input from parents and kids to inform each new concept.

By connecting directly with moms, dads, boys and girls, we gain valuable insights into features that support childhood play and growth. Kids tell us their favorite colors, prints and styles, guiding our material and graphic selections. Parents share thoughtful advice on design improvements to increase convenience, comfort and durability.

This collaborative development process ensures our clothing performs as promised in the real world. It allows us to incorporate enhancements that solve parents’ pain points, while creating garments kids beg to wear.

We source materials and production responsibly through longstanding partnerships with manufacturers focused on quality and safety. The vast majority of our fabrics are knit in America. And we work hands-on with factories abroad to monitor working conditions and enforce strict standards.
